Young Entrepreneur

As young women of St Vincent’s College we are encouraged and challenged to take our learning outside of the classroom. The encouraged application and extension of our learning is close to the ethos of Vinnies, learning to inform, transform and empower ourselves as young women.

This has been demonstrated by Year 11 Student Olivia Piazza, who we congratulate as Vinnies’ very own entrepreneur, who has built a handbag business. Her success was featured in a news article over the weekend, and we are immensely proud of her initiative and drive. Olivia has demonstrated her ability to learn and extend herself outside the classroom and attends conferences on how to further develop her skills as a businesswoman. Not only does she sell these bags, Olivia also designs bags for her own personal line; Olivia Jean.

Olivia’s actions are testament to what can be achieved with hard work, determination and initiative. These are attributes that are instilled in us, as students who are women of future, not only for ourselves but others. We can’t wait to see more girls to take the challenge of applying her education to other aspects of her life.
