Theatresports News - Wins in the heats and off to the Semi-Finals!
Both our teams have made it into the Theatresports Semi-Finals against some seriously competitive schools that have been running their programs for decades. These are incredible achievements for our girls as we only became involved last year!
Our Intermediate Theatresports team has had an exciting time this year already. In the competition heats they got through to the Finals and came third out of ten schools!
Congratulations to Lilas-Mae Njoo, Cleo Heywood, Ella Humphreys.
And...
Our Senior team also made it through to the Semi-Finals (pictured). One of the team, Ellen Ebbs wrote:
"Bibi O’Loghlin, Sophia Fitzgerald and I traveled to St Andrew’s College and attended Impro Australia’s ‘Theatre Sports School Challenge’. Theatresports is a form of improvisational theatre and everything that is created on the stage is completely made up on the spot. This competition enables school students to practice and celebrate this important skill of improvisation and interact with other students who share this same passion for the Arts.
We came in at fourth place out of nine schools from all around Sydney and are very excited to be competing in the Semi-Finals."
