Support Cause to Fight Dementia

Here's an example of true Vinnies spirit from current Year 11 student, Stella Holt...

As Australia’s second-leading cause of death, dementia is close to the hearts of many people across the country. On 25 May 25 at Queenscliff Beach, Stella Holt (Class 2020) and her Dad are competing in a surfing competition called Wipeout Dementia, an initiative from UNSW’s CHeBA (Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing).

The competition aims to raise money for research and increase awareness about the benefits of exercise in preventing early-onset dementia. They will be competing against Wayne Bartholomew (1978 World Champion) and his son, as well as other inter-generational teams.

So far, they have raised $11,150 and would really appreciate any further donations or spreading of the message! All money goes towards research into treatments and any amount helps!
