'Roof Top' Cocktail Party: Class of 1987
On Friday, 16 November 2018, the Class of 1987, as the winners of the SVC Census competition, had the absolute pleasure of returning to Rockwall Crescent, Potts Point for a cocktail party on the familiar (albeit modernised) rooftop. The event was generously hosted by the College, with a bounty of delicious food, and free-flowing champagne and wine.
It was a most memorable evening, and a wonderful chance to catch up with old friends in a location that brought back so many fond memories for us all. With many stories, new and old, shared between the girls who were able to attend, the party really reinvigorated connections with the school and between old classmates from over 30 years ago! I think we will be talking about our special celebration for many years to come, and it will certainly be hard to have anything quite so unique in future reunions!
On behalf of the Class of 1987, I would like to express my sincerest thanks to the school, and especially to Lyn O’Neill for organising the event, for her encouragement with the census, and for all her support over the many years that she has been in the ex-student liaison role.
Heartfelt thanks also to the Principal, Anne Fry, and to David Osborne for warmly welcoming us in the celebrations. I think the fact that the event ran well overtime, with the last of the stragglers leaving close to 10pm, is a testament to what a wonderful night we all shared.
