Message from the College Board

An Open Letter to the St Vincent’s College Community

The Board of St Vincent’s College wishes to affirm the inspiring leadership and resilience shown by all the College community from senior leaders to youngest students ably supporting and supported by their families and friends.

In these times, the small things matter and are noticed with greater clarity. One of my favourite sayings is “in adversity, there is opportunity”. For starters, we will come out of this better equipped for the digital age.

The “forever fires” have ended. The flooding rains have ceased. The COVID-19 pandemic will also end. What will not end, however, is the living out of the values espoused by the school community so proudly placed at the entry to the College.

We all seek reassurance in rules, regulations, policies and procedures to guide us through uncertainty. The scaffolding for our day-to-day lives can be set in place by looking within ourselves and answering the question “what is the love of Christ impelling me to do?”

Thank you one and all, for being you, and engendering the positive Vinnies spirit and continuing to be extensively useful.

Mary Kathryn Ronzani
Board Chair
