TERM 3 SPORT
Welcome back to Term 3 Sport. Hopefully this term will be another successful one for Vinnies. The highlight of this term will be the IGSA Athletics Carnival on August 25. The lead up twilight meets are also an important part of the calendar this term. All 4 Saturday Sports continue with a new draw and some re-grading. Students are reminded that when they signed up for winter sport they did so for the two terms and have been billed accordingly. Only in extreme sickness or injury can these fees be refunded. All students must also fulfill their commitment by attending the one hour training session per week.
IGSA NETBALL and BASKETBALL
Welcome back to Term 3 and and welcome back to Term 3 IGSA sport. I am looking forward to an awesome season and can’t wait to see Vinnie’s on the court. Draws have been finalised and are on the College website and are also now live on the IGSA Spawts website https://igsasport.spawtz.com/ which is the best place to check for any changes due to the weather.
Just a few friendly reminders that all students need to please take note for the term:

SENIORS - SVC 1 - Friday Mornings (7:15am-8:15am)
SENIORS - SVC 2 - Friday Mornings (7.15am-8.15am)
JUNIORS - SVC 3 - Wednesday Afternoons (3.15pm-4.45pm)
YEAR 7 - SVC 4 - Monday Afternoons (3.15pm-4.45pm)
Students are to meet on the paved area once changed and ready to go and walk down together as a group with their coach in the afternoon. For morning sessions students can meet at the park. On a wet day a session will be organised at school in the Gym - A2.32 or another classroom.
If you can't make it to the training, make sure to let your coach know and the Sports Coordinator in advance. If you're dealing with an injury or not feeling well but still attending school, don't worry, you can come to the session and observe and learn from the sidelines.
Remember, missing training sessions without explaining why, impacts the team and coaches running the sessions. If you need to be absent from a match please submit a note to myself and Sports Coordinator at least 3 days before the match, if possible. This will give us enough time to find a replacement if needed, and you won't have to worry about letting the team down.
Finally a reminder that non SVC attire must not be worn to training or games. You are representing our community and I ask you to take pride in our uniform.

All players must have the full College sports uniform, including the SVC socks and their own stick, shin pads and mouth guard for both training and games.
If you can't make it to the training, make sure to let your coach know and the Sports Coordinator in advance. If you're dealing with an injury or not feeling well but still attending school, don't worry, you can come to the session and observe and learn from the sidelines.
