Congratulations to all teams who have qualified for the Semi Finals this Saturday. Good luck to Soccer Team 3, Hockey Team 2, Basketball Team 3 and Netball Teams 1,4,6,7,8,10,11,13,14,16,17,18 and 19. It will be 1v4 and 2v3, with the winners proceeding to the grand finals on Saturday 16 September.  Go Vinnie’s!

Thank you to all the Dads who came and supported their daughters last weekend and had a photograph taken for the ‘Dads in Sport’ Weekend for Father’s Day. We love seeing all our supporters every week and look forward to seeing you all again this weekend to support the finals.

IGSA HOCKEY
The SVC 1 hockey team can look back on a great season of hockey over the last two terms. After an amazing term 2, where they finished shared first place in their division and ended the season with 5 wins in a row, they were put in a division three levels higher in term 3. This didn’t deter the team however, and they approached this challenge with all the enthusiasm and determination they displayed in term 2. While not all the results in term 3 ended up being what the team may have hoped for, they started and finished every game with the intensity and effort that reflected their passion for the sport. Looking back to how the team started only a few months ago, it’s fantastic to see the improvements that all players have made, both individually and as a team. I am sure that there is a lot to look forward to when it comes to the future of these players in SVC hockey.

Once again the girls in SVC 2 showed how much they’ve improved from the start of the season in their game over the weekend. Despite a 1-2 loss, the girls put up an amazing fight the entire way through the game. A huge thank you to all the parents and girls for a full team turnout meaning we had lots of subs to work hard. Amazing passing and teamwork through the midfield and into the D produced a textbook goal, very proud to see! Excited to see the girls continuing their enthusiasm and growth as a team for their semi’s this coming weekend.  We play against Brigidine at Homebush at 11.00am if you’d like to come and support the girls!

Good luck to SVC 2 in the Semi Final on Saturday, Go Vinnie’s!

IGSA FOOTBALL
Good luck to SVC3  who have qualified for the Semi Finals this weekend. SVC 2 and 4 will actually have another round game as their draw has 9 teams, so it is just first past the post after next week’s matches. The Senior Firsts were unlucky to finish 5th and just missed out on the finals.

Irrespective of the results last weekend, the season has been a wonderful showcase of talent and determination across all the teams in the fiercely competitive IGSA tournament. Good luck to all the players and coaches this weekend. Play hard, play fair, and let's keep the dream alive!

Mr Nick Schroeder - Head of Football

IGSA NETBALL and BASKETBALL
Good luck to all of our teams who have qualified for the Semi Finals this Saturday. Some teams narrowly missed out on Finals, finishing equal 4th but then lost on the for and against in goals. SVC 3 in Basketball will be playing at Sydney University along with 3 of our Netball teams so that could be a good spot for spectators to go and support. We also have 3 netball teams playing at Five Dock Leisure Centre and others scattered all over Sydney at Meriden, PLC Sydney, Homebush, Loreto Normanhurst and St Ives, so no matter where you live you could come and cheer our Vinnie’s teams on!

Good luck to all Vinnie’s teams! Keep the Vinnie’s Spirit strong!  I’m looking forward to watching many of our teams play next weekend in the Grand Finals on my return.

Ms Elyse Harmanis - Head Netball Coach.
