College Speech Night 25 Nov 2019

College Speech Night, Monday 25 November
6:00pm - approximately 8:00pm

Venue: Sydney Town Hall, 483 George Street, Sydney. Located above Town Hall Railway Station.

After the success of last year we are delighted to be returning to the Town Hall. Parents, students and staff enjoyed the ambience and the easy accessibility of the Town Hall.

This is a compulsory night for students in Year 7 to Year 11 and it is our night to show our Respect for the achievements of staff and students throughout 2019. All students must wear full summer uniform (no hats) for this important formal occasion and Prize Winners must also wear a blazer.

Students traveling by train are reminded that they will need to use their personal Opal card rather than their school issued Opal card when travelling to and from Town Hall Station.

The following students will depart from the College during the day and travel by train at these times:

11:00am: Soloist musicians and dancers
1:00pm: Orchestra, Choir, Garraway Dancers and students assisting with prizes.
3:00pm: All Year 7 students and the Year 12, 2020 Student Leadership Team.
4:30pm: Boarding Students and accompanying Staff
Students scheduled to arrive at the Town Hall during the day are to bring a drink and a light meal.
5:00pm: All Prize recipients assemble in the foyer of the Town Hall.
5:20pm: All other students should take up their allocated House seats under supervision of Tutor Teachers.
5:45pm: All parents and guests to be seated.
The evening will commence sharply at 6:00pm.

Please note public transport by train under the supervision of staff back to the Boarding House at the conclusion of Speech Night. All other students will travel home with parents/carers. If students are being picked up from the venue, staff will supervise them on the front steps of the Town Hall on George Street. Please do not attempt to communicate with your daughter between 5:15pm and 8:00pm as they will not have access to their phones.

Please note the next morning there will be a late start to the school day at 9:30am. Staff will supervise students on the paved area from 8:15am if you are unable to make alternative arrangements.
