Boarder Lines: 27 November 2020

With the weather changing, the junior Boarders' decided to visit Palm Beach on Sunday morning.  Unfortunately, no filming was happening for ‘Home and Away’ so there was no star spotting for the girls, but we got to enjoy the beautiful sun and surf to brighten our morning.  Our week was highlighted by the Boarders’ Orientation on Thursday and Friday.  We were so happy that this was able to go ahead.  To become a Boarder is a huge decision - to leave your hometown and family home and move in with lots and lots of sisters can be quite daunting.  However, to ensure that the correct decision is made, it is important to be able to spend time in the Boarding House with current Boarders' to see if this is the environment you can thrive in.  We had 14 overnight visitors on Thursday and our current Boarders enjoyed the opportunity to meet new people and share their knowledge.  It was also exciting for some to have roommates again!  Each new Boarder was gifted a bag of goodies, with 'tips and tricks' (included below) on being a Boarder.  A huge thank you to Leonie, Matilda, Grace and Jessica, for their work in getting these bags completed - amazing job.

With our last in weekend of the year this weekend, we are looking forward enjoying some final time together before the Christmas holidays.

Yours in Boarding,
Ms Maryanne O’Donoghue
Director of Boarding
